Oral Communication


When a communication is done by speaking, in which any language is used. Such as: - Wild language as told in Hindi, English or Jungle Book. All these types of communication are oral communication. This communication is both direct and indirect. When the conversation is done face to face, then this communication will be called direct oral communication and when this communication is made through mobile phone or any other medium. If done through, this communication will be called indirect oral communication. The person using it is called the speaker and the person receiving it is called the listener.


Features of oral communication

(1) Oral communication is more rapid and clear than other communication.

(2) It is less or less expensive than written communication.

(3) Oral communication is reliable.

(4) Storage of oral communication is possible.

(5) The speed of reaction in oral communication is also instantaneously.

(6) Oral communication makes immediate decision possible.

(7) It is possible to communicate it only with public feedback.

(8) Performs action instantly.

(9) can attract people on high level.

(10) No instrument is required.

(11) The only means of communication in an emergency.

(12) It shows friendly behavior.

(13) It is flexible, due to which it can be changed according to the requirement of persuasive.



Limits of oral communication

1 This is less reliable than written communication.

2 Increase communication has more effect.

3 In many cases oral communication is less reliable than written communication.

In most cases we do not store oral communication.

5 There is a lack of privacy in oral communication compared to written communication.

6 It is influenced by the speaker's temperament, health and attitude.

7 It is difficult to keep records for the future.
